7 Proof Points From a Long-Term OEM Partner on FVG’s Box-Build Reliability

When an OEM partner has worked with you for years, their continued business is a form of validation. When they conduct an independent audit and come back with documented evidence of quality, that is something else entirely.
FVG's box-build integration capabilities have been assessed not just internally, but by a long-term OEM partner whose procurement and quality teams applied their own standards, checklists, and engineering judgement. The findings reinforced what FVG's production records already showed: consistent quality, traceable processes, and a manufacturing environment built for reliability.
Here are the seven areas where that independent validation was most clearly demonstrated.
The OEM's quality team reviewed output across multiple production batches and found dimensional, functional, and cosmetic consistency within defined tolerances. No batch-to-batch variation that required rework or escalation. For a high-mix, low-to-medium volume environment, this level of repeatability reflects disciplined process control at the line level.
Every sub-assembly and finished box-build unit was traceable through FVG's manufacturing execution system. The OEM's team could follow any unit back through its SMT assembly, inspection records, and incoming component lot. This end-to-end traceability reduced the OEM's own audit burden and supported their regulatory reporting requirements.
The partner's engineers inspected solder joints, cable routing, connector seating, and mechanical assembly against IPC workmanship standards. FVG's operators are trained to IPC-A-610 acceptance criteria, and the inspection confirmed that the assembled units met the required class of workmanship without exception.
FVG's in-circuit and functional test records were reviewed as part of the audit. The OEM confirmed that test coverage was appropriate for the product's end-use environment, that test failures were logged and resolved systematically, and that no units were released without a passed test record attached.
For the sub-assemblies produced in FVG's NEBB-certified ISO 14644 Class 7 and Class 8 cleanrooms, the OEM verified that environmental monitoring logs, gowning protocols, and particle count records were maintained and within specification. This was a specific requirement for the medical-adjacent application involved.
The partner reviewed FVG's non-conformance reports (NCRs) and corrective action logs over the preceding production period. What they found was a low NCR rate, consistent root cause analysis, and closed-loop corrective actions with evidence of effectiveness. The process itself demonstrated a quality management system operating as intended.
Perhaps the most meaningful validation was longitudinal. The OEM had worked with FVG across more than one product generation, and their assessment confirmed that quality had not degraded as volumes or product complexity changed. FVG had scaled its processes alongside the customer's evolving requirements.
Independent validation from a long-term OEM partner carries a different weight than internal quality claims. It reflects how FVG performs under scrutiny, not just under normal production conditions. For OEMs evaluating a box-build partner, this kind of evidence is worth more than a capability brochure.
