A compact IoT device was needed to monitor poultry farm environments while withstanding constant exposure to moisture, dust, and fluctuating outdoor conditions. The unit required IPX65 compliance, leak-proof sealing, and mechanical robustness to ensure reliable performance in real-world farm settings.
FVG partnered with the customer to design, validate, and prepare the device for scalable production.
Manufacturing Process:
Mechanical Support: Assisted with housing, sealing, and structural development.
Sealing and Protection: Designed and validated custom rubber seals to achieve IPX65 compliance.
Testing and Validation: Conducted environmental and leak-proof testing across EVT and DVT stages.
Pilot Build: Delivered a >1,000 unit PVT build to enable wider deployment.
This process combined technical expertise with practical field requirements, ensuring the device could operate in harsh agricultural environments.
The collaboration resulted in a rugged IoT sensor successfully deployed across poultry farms. With IPX65 validation and proven durability, the device was ready for large-scale use.
